Meditation ::

1. INTRODUCTION

SHRI MATAJI ON ‘MEDITATION’

Meditation is actually facing yourself & correcting yourself will full understanding as to what you are.

Meditation is a very general word. It is not a word that explains all the three steps one has to take for meditating. But in Sanskrit, they have very clearly said, how you have to move In your meditation.

First is called as ‘DHYANA’, and second is called as ‘DHARANA’ and third is called as ‘SAMADHI’.

Luckily Sahaja Yoga is such a thing that you get everything in a bundle. You avoided everything else. You got the Samadhi part. That’s the beauty of it.

The first part of meditation is ‘DHYANA’. First when you have seeking , you put your attention towards the object of your worship. This is called as ‘DHYANA’. And the ‘DHARANA’ is the one is which you put all your effort, concentrate, all your effort. But this is all drama for people who are not realised. For them, it is just a sort of an acting that they do. But for a realised soul it is a reality. So the first, the Dhyana you have to do. Some do it of form, another of the formless. But you are so fortunate that the formless has become a form for you. No problem, you don’t have to go from form to formless, from formless to form; its all there, in bundle. So you concentrate or think of some Deity, some point of Nirakar, for the formless, or of Nirakar itself. Its all a mental projection as long as you are not a realised soul.

But once you are realised, you have just to think of Dhyana, whom you are going to concentrate, or you can say Meditate on.

But once you start Meditating on a person your attention starts moving. That is also possible after realisation, though it is in a bundle; but some people have it part of it, like that.

So when you Meditate, still your attention can get disturbed every moment.

It can happen , depending on the intensity of your concentration. So there are some Sahaja Yogis I have seen, they are cooking and there’s another one is meditating. The meditating one will say: OH! I can smell it is burning”. So there is no Dharana. Dhyana is there, but not Dharana. The second part of it is very important, that you have to put your attention continously on to your deity.

Then you develop a State which is called as Dharana, in which your attention becomes one with the Deity. But when these mature, the third stage of Samadhi, comes in.

Now for some people who think that without realisation, they can reach Samadhi. I think, they are absolutely mistaken. But after realisation also, when the Dharana is established, have to get to the position where you become ‘Samadhi’ . Now, what is that State? When that state comes into your mind, then whatever you do, the Deity that you worship, you see that Deity in your work; whatever you see, you see the Deity giving you the show; you can put it like that.

Whatever you hear, you find the Deity telling you the truth, whatever you read, you find there what the Deity would tell you. So, in that state, whatever you do with your eyes, nose & all these organs, all that, becomes a kind of manifestation of the Deity whom you worship, automatically.

You don’t have to think now I must concentrate, alright, I will not have these thoughts , I have to now think about this. It becomes automatically there”.

2. TAPA

WHAT IS TAPA?

a.

T

“I had darshan of lotus feet; and continued in this state to achieve Shiva Tattwa. Such sincere effort to bring the senses under control is TRUE TAPA. Any other effort, or variance from this, can it be classified as Tapa?”

Verse 1636

.....................

b. TRUE TAPA

T

“Recognising Divinity through intellect will induce Love towards Lord. Further surrender confers Mukthi, Such Tapa which is True can only confer Mukthi.”

Verse 1639

c. TAPA IS TRUE METHOD

T

“When I collected the fragrant flowers and made a garland for the LORD, I didn’t experience Grace. But when I focused on the Sushumna from Mooladhara to Sahasrara, my mana settled down and at Sahasrara, I felt the cascading effect of Divine Grace”.

Verse 1640

................

d. FALSE TAPA TAKES ONE TO HELL

T

“False tapa may grant some small temporary gain, but it definitely will lead to hell. On the other hand, TRUE TAPA will confer everlasting Jnana & liberation.”

Verse 1659

..................

e. TRUE YOGA

T

“Coursing the serpent power through Sushumna, piercing the adharas & reaching the Brahmarandra, to unite with Shiva & remaining motionless like a wood, without feeling any external sensation is YOGA TRUE”.

Verse 1457

...............

3 . KUNDALINI PATH IS SURE PATH

T

“Though the six samaya (religious path ) may indicate the path to reach the top, it is only the Kundalini path, which can surely take one to Sahasrara while other paths may be very difficult to pursue

and reach the goal.”

Verse 1561

...............

4 . PRATHYAHARAM (CONTROL OF MIND)

T

“If the mind which is roaming outside, is made to focus within, then many are the blessings that follow. The supreme can be experienced then, which the Vedhas point to”

Verse 578

................

5 . FOCUSSING INWARD

“Man in his search of joy & happiness is running away from his SELF , which is the real source of Joy. He finds himself very ugly & boring because he is absolutely unknown to his Self. Human being seeks Joy in money or possessions; in power or human limited love & ultimately in religion, that is also outside. THE PROBLEM IS HOW TO TURN ONE’S ATTENTION INWARD”.

-SHRI MATAJI

a . FOCUSSING INWARD IS ‘DHYANAM’

T

“Even if yoga (asanas) is practised for 8000 years, still the darshan of LORD may not crystallise. But if introspection is done, & focus is made within, then like an image seen in a mirror, the LORD can be seen within you”.

Verse 603

..................

b .FOCUS INWARD AND KUNDALINI SHALL MERGE WITH SAKTHI

T

“If the ignorant people who perform outward worship & rituals instead focus inward & meditate on Shiva Sakthi, then the “Golden GODDESS KUNDALINI” will rise from Mooladhara through Sushumna, opening all adharas to pierce Brahmarandra, to merge with Sakthi.”

Verse 1192

................

c. EFFECT OF FOCUSSING INWARD

T

“Instead of making tall claims & boasting of knowledge of Sastras, if even for a Maatra (fraction of a second), the attention which is roaming outside, is made to focus within, then like a nail that is firmly fixed in a green tree, the inward focusing would help sunder the samsara bondage.

Verse 1631

................

6. MANAS PUJA

a. MANAS PUJA - IS TRUE WORSHIP

T

“We may annoint the Deity with fragrant sandal or perform puja with beautiful flowers, but it is only when we Meditate, shedding all attachments, can we reach the Joy giving Sahasrara, which enshrines the “HOLY FEET”.

Verse 1452

.................

b. GREATNESS AND IMPORTANCE OF ATMAPUJA

T

‘External worship like offering flowers, incense, reciting scriptures are like droppings of a stone in a ‘moss covered pond’. (A few moments after a stone is dropped, the pond becomes clear to be covered again by the moss). Hence it is best to perform Atma Puja of worshipping the lotus feet at one’s heart which is better than external worship”.

Verse 1506

WHAT SHRI MATAJI HAS SAID ON ‘ANTARMANA’ MEDITATION

“There are two types of meditation, Antarmana & “Bahir mana”. “Antarmana meditation is meditation inside ourselves when we try to see. What is wrong with us. ‘Bahirmana meditation’ is outside, how we have to live outside.

Antarmana meditation is very important. Everyone should meditate morning & evening everyday. For lack of sufficient meditation, people go on catching, again catching, again clearing. The conditioning, ego & badhas come & go & do not detach permanently. Just as we bathe everyday, we have to wash ourselves within everyday. “MEDITATION IS ANTARMANA TAPA”, To live Himalayas or perform severe penance is not required, but we have to do this meditation early in the morning.”

7. INTROSPECTION

a.

T

“Introspection of adharas (chakras) leads to Nadi Shudhi (cleansing of nadis) & visioning of 16 Kalas and divine radiance. The budhi gets merged with Atma. The sense organs which normally draws oneself downward, now gets merged with SELF & this really is what ‘SAHA MARGA’ is all about.”

Verse 1492

.................

b. INTROSPECTION AND MEDITATION BEFORE SLEEPING

T

“Every sadhaka should raise the energy to Sahasrara, meditate deeply & practice introspection. We have to feel that we are surrendered at the lotus feet. Then we can have the blessings of our Lord, who resides in the snow clad (cool) Sahasrara.”

Verse 2707

WHAT SHRI MATAJI HAS SAID ON INTROSPECTION

SHRI MATAJI, “ Your Sahasrara has to be cleansed out to such a level that like soap cleanses everything, it should cleanse everything else. The 1000 petals are not yet awakened. They signify the different 1000 powers of Goddess. These 1000 powers you can open out yourself by introspection, by looking at yourself. Making fun of yourself ‘Know Thyself’ means to know yourself with all the defects you have & also the potential you have & also the good points. As far as concerned when you are looking at yourself, you should just see to the defects why do I behave like this? Why do I assert myself so much? What is the problem? Why cannot I see myself clearly? With that transparency of the Sahasrara, you can see that your heart, mind & see what is wrong with you fully and clearly.

It is you, your Sahasrara & your attention. You have to see within yourself how far I have realised my own powers, my own compassion, my own personality. You will have to test yourself. If you are looking at the mirror, then you are the one who is observing, your reflection is the one that is observed & there is the action of seeing. So you are in three dimensions. But supposing you become the mirror yourself, the whole process is reversed.

I have always said “you” have to become your own Guru. So you have to make a lot of introspection & fix your ideals. You have seen me how I am. I can eat anything I do not need to eat at all for days together. I can sleep anywhere - I may not sleep at all. I travel for miles together untiringly. I have this energy because I am a Guru of myself. So the first thing is that there should be a lot of introspection. What’s wrong with me, not wrong with others. What’s wrong with me? Am I seeking the comfort of the body? The attention - is it on my body or on my SPIRIT? If so what am I doing? I think best is to write it down. Can I sleep on the grass? Can I sit on a stone? You have to make this body work; Can I sleep anytime & can I keep awake anytime I like? I have seen people doze off. The reason is this, not that they are bad or in anywhere indisciplined people, but because inside they are tired. If you are tired inside, then you feel tired all the time.

So introspect. How you behave. Now when you start introspecting yourself, you will also start introspecting your surroundings, & your style, & your methods & what you are doing to yourself because of the conditioning of outside.

So in the introspection you find out what’s gone wrong with you. How you are made this way. What’s wrong in my own personality. It has come from all the surroundings & the way people are putting into my head. You should have your own ideas. You should not worry what Plato said & what Socrates said. What do you think? After all you are enlightened people”.

....................

8. WHEN TO MEDITATE

T

“If meditation is practised during Brahma Muhurtham & also at dusk, then all poisons in the body & all illness shall leave & greying & wrinkling will not be there.”

Verse 727

SHRI MATAJI ON WHEN TO MEDITATE

SHRI MATAJI , “ In the morning you get up, have your bath, take some tea, don’t talk, Don’t talk in the morning, sit down, meditate - because at that time, the Divine rays comes in; the Sun comes afterwards. That’s how the birds get up. That’s how the flowers get up. They are all awakened by that & if you are sensitive you will feel that by getting up in the morning, you will look at least ten years younger.

In the morning after you bath & before sleeping, you must meditate for a while. This is enough. But when you meditate, how would you recognise whether you were in meditation & it was alright. During meditation, you should first establish thoughtless awareness. At that moment, you should keep saying “NOT THIS”,

“NOT THIS” & keep turning your thoughts away in such a manner. By doing this, you will see that by taking a breadth, you will become thoughtless. When there is no peace, how can you have internal progress? Like in a earthquake, a tree cannot grow; so similarly Man also gets stuck in an earthquake of thoughts & then this progress is impossible. That’s why at that time it is important to establish the peace within. After a while, you will be surprised, that you do not need to do so much exercise. You will become thoughtless at once.

And you should be in meditation all the time. You should watch how long you can stay in meditative way. Even if something upsets or agitates, then one should remain in this state. What is the meaning of going into meditation? It means you have got connected to Param Chaitanya, the all pervading power. The minute you are in meditation, you have established oneness with Param Chaitanya. To stay in Meditation is to say “neti” & meditate “ you are in that state & its light is manifest in you”.

9. POSTURE FOR MEDITATION

T

“The method is ‘Kechari Yoga’ by which the tongue is twisted inside & posture is erect, keeping Sushumna Nadi firm.”

Verse 808

SHRI MATAJI ON “POSTURE” AND ‘ KECHARI YOGA”

“In Sahaja Yoga, the person is fully aware & alert & receives inner silence & experiences without doing any unnatural movement. The person sits in a comfortable & easy pose, with the legs not too tightly together, in “Sahaja Asana” , the hands should be held flat open as if receiving something precious. The breathing is normal or less than normal.”

ON KECHARI YOGA

“Kundalini is a virgin energy. It is an energy which is detached, it doesn’t get attached to any centre, to any function, only one function it has to do, is to slowly & steadily pass through all these centres, give them whatever they want, whatever they can bear , slowly & steadily open the Sahasrara. She is in 3 ½ coils. It has a mathematical significance though She is a virgin energy, still she’s so wise, so sensitive & so caring, that when she rises, she doesn’t give any complication. Normally you do not even feel she is rising. She goes up in a way, automatically, supported by the whole mechanism. She goes from centre to centre, lower centre first opens for her to enter in, then it augments, it closes down so it can keep Kundalini in its place. Then it goes higher until it pierces through Sahasrara. This is what is “RAJA YOGA”.

This is not something artificial, but the spontaneous working of the mechanism in Raja Yoga. When you start a motor car, by just turning the wheel, you cannot make the car move. In the same way, when the Kundalini rises, she rises spontaneously , and passes through six centres. At the Vishudhi, she opens Vishudhi, and when She passes through Vishudhi, the tongue is a little bit moving, just to keep the flow on. This action is called as “KECHARI”. When people are very deep in meditation, they find suddenly they get in “Kechari” situation, or a Mudra. In that state as if some nectar starts flowing from your palate, if you move your tongue. Now this you don’t have to do. When you are in deep meditative state, it starts cooling down your tongue, automatically. Automatically you get into kechari state. As far as Sahaja Yogis are concerned today, there are very few who really feel that. Reason is we do not meditate, we do not pay attention to our realisation also. We talk about it quite lot, rather than doing something about it. We have to meditate everyday, just like washing our hands, or cleaning our teeth, we have to meditate, in the morning time, & also in the evening time, you have to meditate. Both times. We have to rise, we have to grow. This cleansing has to be done everyday in and out. One has to meditate in such a manner that working of the Kundalini is facilitated, the chakras are cleansed out, & ultimately you are in a state of meditation. It’s not a question of how to go into Meditation, but how to be in meditation all the time.”

...............

10. STATE OF PRACTITIONER OF MEDITATION

a.

T

“Those who incessantly remember the Divine and have succeeded to still the mind, have no fears, not even of Death. For them, there is no trouble, no distinction between day & night & they are not affected by the fruits of Karma”

Verse 1624

.................

b. TAPASVI’S DO NOT SUCCUMB TO TEMPTATIONS

T

“The tapasvi’s remain in steadfast meditation, unmindful of temptation

induced by ‘INDRA ‘ & other “Celestials” always determined to achieve the highest goal.”

Verse 1627

SHRI MATAJI ON SUCCUMBING TO TEMPTATION

“Once you get spiritual ascent then a person does not think, everything else is nothing for him. Give him all the wealth, it is nothing for him. There is not a single thing for him for which he is worried or wants it. If there is anything, if he gets it. It is alright, if he does not get it also, it is alright for him. When you achieve that State then you should think that you have achieved something in Sahaja Yoga. So long as you don’t get this state you are still insecure & you are always moving from here to there. The great sakthi residing in you which can settle you is “SHRADHA”. Awaken the Shradha from your heart & remain in the her “Bhakthi” devotion. Remain in joy of Shradha. SHRADHA is Joy GIVING SAKTHI. Remaining in this innocent happening. Remain in the ectasy till you get fully immersed in the till you get fully immersed in that happiness & become one with it”.

C. WHEN RENUNCIATION NOT NECESSARY

T

“Having witnessed the Atma within the body, it is not necessary to chant & offer outward prayers. It is also not necessary to adore when the primordial one abides in us. Death also ceases, when Samadhi is attained. No further renunciation is necessary, when Mauna is stabilised & doesn’t react to outward pulls of the senses.”

Verse 1633

SHRI MATAJI ON RENUNCIATION

“The idea of giving up comes because you think that you are holding to something when in reality you are not holding anything, there is nothing to give up, What is there to give up? You don’t have to give up anything. We come with nothing & we leave with nothing. The role of holding on is just a myth. It is only an illusion & likewise its renunciation is also another illusion. You believe that you renounce, actually you do not renounce”.

11. BLESSINGS OF MEDITATION

a. VICTORY OVER TIME

T

“When attention is slowly lifted from Mooladara through Sushumna & takes to Brahmarandra, then the seeker will be victorious over time.

Verse 583

...............

SHRI MATAJI ON TIME CONSCIOUSNESS

“A futuristic person is not yet a Sahaja Yogi. In modern times, Life is so hectic, so fast & the experiences of missing out are very harmful, for example, when people take an air ticket in their hand, they become nervous, they start shaking, the moment, they know, they have to go to the airport. As a result they forget things & may miss their plane. But Sahaja Yogis must know that they cannot miss the plane, if they are real sahaja yogis. Sahaja Yogis have to be ‘KALA TIT’ (beyond time). If the chitta is not in the present, then it is in the future, you are thinking of the next thing. With the attention on time, the point is missed. The precious moment is lost. Therefore keep your attention at ease”

“First thing you must learn is to get out of time consciousness. Then you will find out that everything works out with your time.

One of the blessings of Sahaja Yoga is that you forget time. Take the blessings of Sahaja Yoga”.

“PAST IS A MEMORY, FUTURE AN EXPECTATION & PRESENT IS THE TRUTH”.

b. STEADY ATTENTION AND BODY WILL BE WITHOUT ANY BLEMISH

T

“If attention is steadied at Brahmarandra like a stork standing still in a stream, then body will be without any blemish.”

Verse 591

...............

c. BENEFITS OF BRAHMA MUHURTA MEDITATION

T

“If a practitioner of meditation is able to course his breadth through Sushumna, instead of Ida & Pingala, then such meditation during “Brahma Muhurtha” (4 - 6 a.m.) will help the sadhaka, to be always bright & death will not touch him. Further all blessings of Kundalini yoga will come & spread throughout the world”.

Verse 801 & 883

............................

d. WHEN ONE MEDITATES EVEN SURROUNDING NATIONS STANDS TO BENEFIT

T

“A sadhaka who truly meditates obtains a body which radiates & will be free from bad Karmas. The energy & vibration emitted by practitioner of meditation will spread to the surrounding areas & the entire nation. This will benefit everyone, who will also gain true knowledge, thereby dispelling the darkness of ignorance”.

Verse 1348

...................

e. BODY DOES NOT PERISH

T

“If along with Amudheswari, who is present as LIGHT - from Mooladara to Brahmarandra, PRANAVA is coursed to the top, then the seeker can witness everyday new things, and the body shall not perish.

Verse 1355

................

f. SEEKER GOES BEYOND TIME AND NATION

T

“Having known & witnessed the LIGHT, which rises from Mooladara, no harm shall befall such a sadhaka. He reaches a state, where he sees no difference between nations. He sees no difference in eight directions. He is not troubled by the forest of sorrow”.

Verse 1357

................

g. DEVI FILLS SADHAKA AS LIGHT

T

“When from Mooladara, the LIGHT ascends to Sahasrara, where Sakthi is, then the entire region from Mooladara chakra to Dwadha santham becomes the region of LIGHT.”

Verse 1380

..................

h. EGO WILL DISAPPEAR

T

“When the golden creeper like Kundalini is worshipped, then Ego will disappear & in the vast Sahasrara, the beautiful vision of entwined creeper like Sakthi can be had.”

Verse 1413

i. KUNDALINI YOGA ALONE REDEEMS

T

“The righteous Kings & revered Sages who expounded the Vedas, have all fallen in thousands not knowing the ‘TRUE YOGA’ i.e. KUNDALINI YOGA.”

On the other hand, Sidhars, Devas & 3 Gods Shiva , Vishnu & Brahma, knew the Truth & surrendered at the LOTUS FEET.

Verse 1464

SHRI MATAJI ON KUNDALINI AWAKENING

“A pulsation is sometimes seen at, during Kundalini Awakening. Like the Sushumna, the Kundalini is normally in a potential state. When it is awakened, it ascends through sushumna, across the void to top of Sushumna when Kundalini emerges at this point, Yoga is said to have taken place. YOGA IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT KUNDALINI AWAKENING.

j. MEDITATE ON KUNDALINI AT SAHASRARA - GRANTS GRACE

T

“When a seeker meditates steadfast on Kundalini, who wears a garland of chakras, and who traverses the Chitrani Nadi to reach the LORD, who is the ruler of directions eight, at the Sahasrara, then such steadfast meditation confers the seeker with Divine Grace.

Verse 1525

.....................

k. LORD SHOWERS BLESSING

T

“There are many people who are always suffering, or those who might have lived in pomp & glory, but may have fallen down due to bad times. Instead of brooding over the past bad times, please meditate steadfast on the LOTUS FEET of the Lord, the compassionate Lord will then dispel all worry & solve all problems and place them in good position.”

Verse 1552

SHRI MATAJI ON PROBLEM SOLVING

“Interestingly enough, some people express surprise when they encounter problems after their Realisation, as if we are all aiming to exist in artificially sterile environment. That is not life, life is all about human endeavour & challenge, about overcoming turbulations & being all the benefit for it. Life is about striving for our spiritual growth so that we become the SPIRIT through the process of purification; at which point we will be beyond artificial states - we will be TRUTH. Our yoga, our realisation, helps us to fight this battle with the weapons of love in the subtle & gives us the Joy of the Spirit enroute, so that we can experience the reality of our destination of spur us on.”

“Param Chaitanya does everything. It is the power of Shakthi - It can be considered as an Ocean - it contains everything. It is a formless energy and has all the intelligence, competence & it is Love of God. All sahaja yogis have to know that in reality, we do not do anything & everything is done by Paramchaitanya.

It works for our benevolence & for the collective benevolence & it knows what is to be done. It has complete knowledge & if you become a Sahaja Yogi, the concern for you, benevolence is all the time there, whether you are punished or not is a different thing. Some people might get a job, with some people it will work out this way, with some people it will work out that way, then some may say that how the Param Chaitanya is working out this way. It is ALL FOR YOUR CORRECTION. IT IS A BIG JOURNEYING. WHATEVER WORKS OUT IS FOR YOUR CORRECTION AND JOURNEYING. IF YOU KNOW THIS POINT, THEN YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOUR LIFE.”

l. MEDITATE ON SAKTHI AND CONQUER FATE

T

“All the time our foolish mind craves for petty things & useless mundane things. Instead of this, if we focus our attention on Sushumna & praise our Mother & meditate on Her who resides in the 3 mandalas, then even the Fate which is written for us can be overcome.”

Verse 1186

................

m. YOGA KSHEMA

T

“A true yogi will be blessed with yoga and bhoga. As a result of yoga, he will be blessed with Shiva Swarupa. On attainment of Shiva Swarupa, he will be blessed with all worldly blessings. The immortal yogi will enjoy fruits of yoga that is Siva Swarupa & Bhoga.”

Verse 1491

................

n. MEDITATION ON SHIV SAKTHI ESTABLISHES SAMADHI

T

“Meditate constantly on Her & Shiva at Sahasrara, & we can be absorbed in Samadhi State.”

Verse 1240

SHRI MATAJI ON LORD BUDHA’S “SAMADHI”

“Buddha had Dharma. His body was clear. His mind, his attention doe not find any joy in worldly greed or desires. His cup was ready & it emptied when he became tired of his searching efforts & surrendered. This was the moment in which the Divine vibrations poured like torrential rain; the Shakthi filled his cup & made him the “Shaktha”., the Enlightened One. So when you are taught to keep to virtue, you are warned to keep the cup intact and clean”.

12. HATHA YOGA IS A WASTE

T

“Hatha Yogi’s may say that we have to control the senses which even celestials find it difficult to do. Hatha Yogis’ who enter into a trance by controlling their senses, are there in the same position (no ascent) once they return from trance. Instead if we surrender our senses to the Lord by focusing on Him, then the 5 senses would co-operate and assist ascent.”

Verse 2033

.......................

13..PATH TO BRAHMARANDRA IS GREATEST PATH

T

“The path employed to raise Kundalini, to Brahmarandra is greater than the path of Bakthi Yoga & Jnana Yoga. The practitioners of Kundalini Yoga are definitely greater people.”

Verse 1539

SHRI MATAJI ON GREATNESS OF KUNDALINI YOGA

“Sahaja Yoga is the culmination of all the yogas, as it is the yoga of the actual awakening of Kundalini. Supreme Yoga is Kundalini Yoga, not because it excludes any other form of Yoga, but because it integrates them & transcends them.”

14.CAN YOUNG PEOPLE MEDITATE

a. MEDITATE ON GOD WHILE YOUNG

T

“ Passing away of every day diminishes the phase of youth & when the old age sets in, the faculties may not help in focusing on the Divine. Hence when young, when faculties are co-operating, please meditate on Nandi of spreading locks.”

Verse 179

b. ATMA VIDYA MUST BE LEARNT BEFORE 30 YEARS

T

“The ignorant ones see the ‘Sun’ & ‘Moon’ as external celestial beings, not knowing that they are within us as ‘Sun channel’ & ‘Moon channel” & they work as long as the ‘Prana’ is within. Hence ‘atma vidya’ should be learnt before 30 years to help live life fruitfully & to achieve liberation.”

Verse 184

SHRI MATAJI ON CHILDREN MEDITATING

When Shri Mataji was asked whether children can practice Meditation, Shri Mataji said, “YOUNGER, THE BETTER”.

15. STATE OF PEOPLE WHO DO NOT MEDITATE

T

“Those who do not seek the LORD with humble determination, but, instead hunt for food to fill their stomach, are like those running away from a crocodile in a river, to get themselves caught by a bear which has recently given birth to a young one.”

Verse 1642

..................
